Now connecting the Americas with Europe. Melein-Melein does not advise from a distance. We have built the brands, opened the markets and held the relationships ourselves — before bringing that experience into every engagement.
In 2007, at Club 55 in Saint-Tropez — feet in the sand, a bottle of rosé on the table — we decided that the finest things deserve to be known beyond the people who already know them. That was the founding of Classic Communication. It was not a strategic choice of headquarters. It was where the work was: estates, houses, hotels and producers along the Côte d'Azur that made exceptional things and needed someone who could carry them into the wider European trade.
What we learned there has decided how we have worked ever since. The Riviera does not respond to volume. Everything of consequence happens between people — at a table, on a terrace, over a bottle that someone's family has been making for four generations. You are trusted with a brand because you were there the season before, and the season before that.
That method travelled well. Provence became Paris, then Germany, then Italy: Kusmi Tea, Fauchon, Valrhona, Neuhaus, Farina 1709, Château d'Estoublon, Château Margüi — and, from the other side of the Atlantic, Skywalker Vineyards, Skywalker Retreats and Rizzoli New York.
Melein-Melein is where that practice sits now: the same two people, the same relationships, aimed deliberately at brands from the Americas with something worth putting in front of a European buyer.
Two decades building international premium brands inside European markets — not advising on them from outside.
Germany, France and Italy, in three languages, under one roof. One European platform, built to extend.
Strategy, distribution, market presence and long-term growth. Communication is one instrument, not the product.
A single point of contact from the Americas across all of Europe. Founder-led, start to finish.
Germany, France, Italy: three trade cultures wearing one continent's name. Different languages, different instincts for trust, different ideas of what a brand owes its buyer. What works in Munich rarely survives the crossing to Paris.
This is the part that is hardest to see from Miami, New York or São Paulo, and the part that decides most European entries. A single European strategy is usually three strategies that have not been written yet.
We do not sell templates. Every strategy is cut to the brand — its category, its price point, its market — and carried by a single point of contact across all three countries, so nothing is lost in translation.
Twenty years in these markets taught us this: the relationships that matter, with buyers, distributors, the trade press, the institutions that decide what is credible, are not bought. They are built, market by market, season by season.
Founded Classic Communication in Saint-Tropez in 2007 and has spent the twenty years since opening European markets for premium houses — the strategy, the distribution and the relationships behind both.
Twenty years guiding premium clients through European markets — the execution as much as the plan, and the standard everything is held to once the work begins.
Every engagement starts with the brand itself — its ambition, its category, the markets it is ready for. We ask before we plan.
From there, a market entry strategy built for this brand alone: its category, its price point, its timeline. Nothing borrowed from a template.
We open the trade ourselves. The buyers, the terms, the presence that follows — held to the brand's standard throughout.
The work does not end at entry. We stay — years, not months — reading the market as it moves and adjusting the approach as we go.
