Rizzoli

Bringing the world's most beautiful books to the attention of France's cultural press.

Rizzoli New York is one of the world’s preeminent publishers of art, photography, fashion, and culture — a house whose books are themselves objects of desire, sought by collectors, designers, and anyone with a serious interest in visual culture. The Rizzoli name on a cover is a mark of quality and ambition that resonates in studios, libraries, and galleries across the world.

Our collaboration with Rizzoli centred on a specific campaign in France — a country where the relationship between culture, publishing, and the press is unlike anywhere else in the world. French cultural journalists are demanding, discerning, and deeply influential. A well-placed story in Le Monde, Le Figaro, or a major cultural magazine carries weight that extends far beyond France itself.

The campaign we developed for Rizzoli in France was built around strategic media relations with the cultural and lifestyle press: positioning key titles with the journalists best placed to give them the attention they deserved, and building the narrative around Rizzoli’s unique position at the intersection of art, fashion, and luxury.

A notable element of the collaboration involved a publication produced in partnership with Dior — a project that combined Rizzoli’s editorial and design excellence with the cultural authority of one of fashion’s great houses. Managing the communications around a project of this calibre required precision, discretion, and an understanding of how to work at the intersection of two very different but equally demanding brand universes.
