Skywalker Vineyards

George Lucas's wine estate, brought to European audiences through bespoke communications.

Skywalker Vineyards is the wine estate of George Lucas, nestled in the hills of Marin County north of San Francisco. Grown from the same land as Skywalker Ranch — the legendary creative campus where Star Wars and so much else was made — the vineyard produces wines of genuine quality: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and a Cabernet Sauvignon that reflect the microclimate and soils of this exceptional terroir.

The brand presents an unusual communications challenge: how do you tell the story of a wine estate connected to one of the most famous names in cinema without reducing the wine itself to a celebrity footnote? The answer lies in leading with the land, the craft, and the quality — and letting the story of the estate’s origins add depth rather than overshadow.

This is precisely the approach we developed for Skywalker Vineyards in Europe. Our mandate covered international communications and content production, with a particular focus on building credibility and interest in European wine-drinking markets — consumers who hold wine to very high standards and are rightly sceptical of celebrity-adjacent projects.

We developed editorial content that placed the vineyard’s winemaking philosophy and terroir at the centre of the story, working with European wine media and lifestyle press to create the kind of coverage that speaks to knowledgeable audiences. The result was a European presence built on the wine itself — which, when properly introduced, requires little else.
